Pastor Jim has served as Senior Pastor and Elder at Angelo Bible Church since November 1988. He is the church's third pastor.
Born of Christian parents, he came to know the Lord at an early age, moving from place to place as a part of a military family until he began his college studies at North Texas State. During those years, his parents looked for a strong Bible teaching church in the areas where they lived.
Pastor Jim graduated from Dallas Bible College and then from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Theology degree in 1983. His wife, Pat, serves with him at the church in a variety of capacities.
He has a daughter, Megan, a deceased daughter, Katie, sons-in-law, Mike and Cory and four grandchildren.
He is committed to the verse by verse expository preaching of the Bible and the “equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry.” He loves to study the Bible in the original language and teach according to the context with clear application. He desires that all might be saved and that the saved would be discipled and come to know the abundant life that Jesus offers. He has a passion for the life changing power of the Word of God.
Pastor Jim has served on the boards of area Christian ministries.

Billie has attended Angelo Bible Church since 2003 and has volunteered as the church secretary since 2015. She retired from the Tom Green Sherrif's Office in 2010 and, during a harrowing battle with Multiple Sclerosis, found faith in and a relationship with Jesus and has loved serving him since.
She loves Sudoku, singing, the Bible and cooking. Hers is the friendly voice you'll hear when you call the church office.
